Who We Are

Explanationformula Tree Service is a referral service for homeowners in Elgin and the Elgin area. We help you think through a tree project before anything comes down. We connect you with independent local tree removal providers, then step back.

Why This Site Exists

Tree work is hard to judge. Most people hire a tree provider only once in a while, so there is little to compare against. The first quote you hear may sound fine, or it may not.

This site gives you a calm place to ask questions, weigh a few approaches and decide without pressure. Compare, then decide.

How Providers Are Matched

When you call or send a request, we ask a few plain questions. Where is the tree? Is it near a roof, a fence or power lines? Is anything already down? Do you also need stump grinding?

We use your answers to point you toward providers in our network that handle that kind of job near you. Availability varies, so some providers may reach you sooner than others.

What We Expect From Providers

Providers in the network are asked to:

• Give clear written quotes that say what the job includes
• Talk honestly about risks, access and cleanup
• Respect your time, your yard and your neighbors
• Hold any licenses or insurance their work requires

We do not check or vouch for those items ourselves. Ask each provider to show you, and look up anything you want to confirm.

Roots and Rooflines: Older Homes

Older houses need extra thought. Frame houses, bungalows and ranch homes from many decades ago can have aging roofs, past repairs and hidden surprises. Think of old drain lines, buried tanks or sump pump discharge pipes running under the lawn.

Tell the provider what you know. Ask how they plan to protect the roof, the yard and anything underground.

What We Do Not Do

Explanationformula Tree Service does not cut, climb, haul or grind. We do not set prices and we do not supervise the work. The provider you choose does the job and answers for it.

We also cannot promise what a provider will charge or when one can arrive. Costs vary with tree size, access and cleanup. In the U.S., a small tree may run a few hundred dollars, while a large or hard-to-reach tree can run into the thousands. Always ask for a written quote.

How We Are Paid

Homeowners do not pay Explanationformula Tree Service to be connected. Providers in the network may pay a referral fee for the introduction. Providers set their own prices, so it makes sense to compare more than one quote.
